Summer Continues at Sayward Hill

Summer certainly has taken its time to arrive this year but once here, it didn't seem to want to leave! Almost like our visitors to Cordova Bay. Once they discover the natural beauty and amenities surrounding Sayward Hill they want to linger in the warmth and charm of neighbouring Mattick's Farm and Cordova Bay Golf Course. More often, we have inquiries into our Sales Office from out-of-town visitors new to the area and only finding Sayward Hill by accident along their scenic drive from Downtown Victoria through Mt. Douglas Park and along the shores of Cordova Bay. Once here, it's no accident that they discover something unique to new developments within Victoria and appreciate the quality, value and location offered at Sayward Hill.

Between brisk sales and construction activity, we have not had too much time to bask in the summer sun! This past month has brought 3 new sales and only a few units remain in each building. Construction is progressing very well at 758 Sayward Hill Terrace with the exterior finishes almost complete and painters now dipping their brushes into our interior designer's colour choices of Toasted Wheat and Crème Liquer to bring the suites to life! Cherry and Maple cabinets are arriving soon and the craftsmanship of our long-time committed trades will be transforming the large open spaces into gourmet kitchens and spa-like baths. Imported tile and granite will add an elegant finishing touch to these rooms and our newest neighbours at 758 Sayward Hill Terrace will be starting off the New Year in a well-deserved lifestyle only found at Sayward Hill.

Our Penthouse Show Suite has continued to attract inquiries and rave reviews since first opening this past spring. After a series of successful open houses and showings, we sold the original Penthouse show suite in May. Mattick's Farm Mini Golf offers two spacious 18-hole miniature golf (putting) courses located in a beautiful treed setting. After the game, enjoy our selection of refreshments, a hot dog with the works or some local, Island Farms ice cream on the patio overlooking the natural setting.

In case you didn't know, we have 36 holes that you will find both challenging and a hit for both the young and old.


WE ARE NOT DRILLING FOR OIL!! In fact, we are proud to be the first golf course that we know of to use this new technology for aerating a pond. The windmill activates a 3.5 Cubic Feet per Minute air pump that sends oxygen to an air stone which diffuses tiny bubbles into the bottom of the pond. These tiny bubbles aerate the water column which produces a healthy microbial community within the water body. All without using an ounce of electricity!

What's Happening at Jawl Development Corporation

800 Yates StreetJawl Properties is in the process of developing 800 Yates Street located in the heart of downtown at the intersection of Yates St, Blanshard St. and Johnson St. This building, designed by award-winning architect Franc D'Ambrosio, will offer 195,000 square feet of class A commercial and retail space in 7-storeys. The building features a central atrium spreading natural light throughout the building. The building has been designed for energy efficiency and to minimize its impact on the environment and is targeting LEED Silver designation through the Canada Green Building Council.
